I am looking for a automatic transmission for a 4cyl. ford ranger 1991 model 2wd....can anyone suggest a websight that i could check into having mine rebuilt cheap...or possible buying 1..|||Have you checked your local salvage yard(s)? Most salvage yards only go back about 10 years, but you may luck out.
How about a transmission repair shop? Be sure to get an estimate and find out what the warranty is also. Good luck.|||Have you tried an Aamco? i recently used them and they offered free towing, free estimate and rebuilt my transmission at a fair price. Much less then i thought it would cost.|||If you want it done cheap, go to a local junk yard and have them do it. They'll sell you a used one for a couple hundred dollars and install it for a hundred dollars or more. I have seen a website that rebuilds motors, but you have to put it in a crate and ship it to them.
