How is the transmission range sensor removed on a 2002 Montero Sport?

I get error code P0705 and from research I think I need to replace the range sensor. I found it on the transmission but how is it removed. It appears to be black plastic housing and there is not much room to work. Thanks for all help.|||The range sensor is on the drivers side of the transmission. It's the part that the shift cable goes to and also has the electrical connector for the PRNDL lights that tell you what gear you are in. Buy the new part at the dealer and take your vin number with you so they order the correct part. You might ask someone for a print out explaining how to adjust the cable to the new sensor/switch.
