How much would a transmission from a junk yard be around?

I need a manual transmission for a 91 ford ranger v6 2.9L 4x4. Around how much would one be and also out of what trucks and years would work?|||The price is going to vary, depending on the junkyard.

So why are you asking us? Call around, and get prices.|||As has been said prices will vary depending on the wrecking yard.

For any questions that you have regarding interchangeable parts and which parts will fit which different vehicles, talk to the folks at your local wrecking yard.

Most wrecking yards are networked with many others across the U.S. and can order most any part you need. They can usually have the part for you within a couple days.

They also have access to all the interchangeability data you could possibly ever need right at their fingertips.

They'll give you accurate information and in just a few minutes.|||At a pick n pull I would guess $100-$200? A regular junkyard will charge according to all factors, such as if it is low mileage from a wreck. But I would doubt you would pay more than $500. The junkyard can tell you the compatibility for free. Just see what they've got. You've got to shop it around. See if anybody will sell it installed at one price. You might want a new clutch at the same time.|||shoudl be aroung $300 to $500
