How do you check the transmission fluid level in a Peerless Trans-axle used on a lawn tractor?

How do you check the transmission oil in a Peerless trans-axle on a Craftsman lawn tractor? I know these are supposed to be sealed units but someone must know the trick on checking the oil level. What transmission fluid should be put in?|||First of all if you bought it new you should have ask the guy there at the dealer or required a owners operators manual. Yes most are sealed and do not required being checked.Unless you suspect problems or have noticed a leak. As for the transmission fluid you should use any that is DOT 3 Grade just for that model. But at most check back with the dealer in most cases just check your regular oil and keep the right gas in it and it should be good up to 3-5 years. Good luck
