How can I make a transmission from a 93 mustang work for a 94?

The transmission is in. Do I have to have power going to the neutral safety switch to get it to shift? It goes in gear just fine and doesn't slip. When I drive it goes into high rpm and doesn't want to shift. Could that be the neutral safety switch? The car is a 1994 Mustang GT 5.0 HO. The transmission came out of a 1993 Mustang GT. Both 5.0's. Help me please.|||If you had neutral safety switch problems, you'd never have gotten the starter to turn the motor over to begin with.
